Bournemouth 7’s Festival Fun
This years B7’s festival did not disappoint. It’s the perfect mix of rugby, social, and alcohol. It’s a breeding ground for injuries to be honest. Drunk or hungover and playing a contact sport. Do I need to say more?
But if you ask me, I think it’s great for players to let loose after a tough and long season and… oh yeah, the global pandemic. If you haven’t been before, there are loads of different sports on during the day (from dodgeball to netball), with Rugby being the main feature. Then come night time, it’s a festival with loads of different tents, bars and fairground rides. Being real, it’s just a 3 day piss up.
It’s great for the mental health and you can take it as serious or non-serious as you’d like. The thing I like about it the most, is that everyone there has no hidden agenda, no d*ckheads, just loads of people with a common interest. You can lose your mates and you’ll still have a great night with randomers.
I literally saw someone stop a mosh pit mid ‘drop’ because he found someones phone on the floor. The phone was retrieved and then they continued with their mosh pit!
But now that episode is over, it’s back to business. I’m on my way back to fighting weight (95kg), starting the rugby season and cure my 3 month hangover.
Cheers.
