Prehab, Rehab, Shmehab.
I am THAT guy who constantly complains about how broken I am. I do my stretches and foam rolling etc, but NEVER do any primers, activation or rehab, despite knowing the importance of it. Do as I say, not as I do.
Realistically, doing all these accessories is going to give you more gym time and more game time. Which, obviously, is a great thing. Unless the game time is mid winter and in Wales. No offence… My issue is that I just want to get my session done so I have more time to relax and rest, especially on my busy days.
Silly Mistake.
Because it’s only going to give me injuries and unnecessary soreness, which i’m trying to avoid by resting more! It’s daft.
My body is at a point where my finger will dislocate using a pizza wheel (true story). So this is me committing to spending more time to “shmehab”. Movement quality will be priority over averything. I did my heavy lifting after lockdown, now is time for maintenance and looking after my body through a very intense 7’s season.
